Changes to visa processing arrangements – Employer Nomination Scheme and Regional Sponsored Migration Scheme

Effective 22 November 2014, processing arrangements for Visa subclass 186 (Employer Nomination Scheme-ENS) and Visa Subclass 187 (Regional Sponsored Migration Scheme – RSMS) have been reviewed by the Department of Immigration and Border Protection with further changes on lodgements.

Applicants will no longer be able to lodge the Nomination part of the application and the Visa application at the same time.

Nomination application has to be lodged first before the Visa Application can be lodged as it will prevent any Visa applications to be lodged against an incorrect Nomination application.

Delays with this arrangement are not expected but, on the contrary, should ensure no confusion with linking a Nomination application to the correct Visa application thereby, further streamlining applications.
